A copy of the City of Stockton Fire Department permit for tank removal
#8361 dated May 10, 1983, has been obtained indicating four (4) gasoline
tanks (1-10,000 gallon Regular, 2-6,000 gallon Unleaded, and 1-4,000 gallon
Super) and one waste oil tank were removed from this site.
2. A site diagram map of Ron's Chevron Service Station 8108 has been
provided to PHS/EHD by Clint Rogers, Chevron USA. The diagram shows
4 gasoline tanks (1-10,000 gallon Regular, 1-4,000 gallon Unleaded, 1-5,000
gallon Super Regular, 1-5,000 gallon Unleaded) and a Waste Oil Tank.
Our evaluation of the site diagram map relative to soil boring placement
indicates piping, dispenser islands, and the waste ail tank have not been
adequately investigated. The former site of the waste oil tank appears to
be underneath the current bank structure.
3. In a phone conversation Clint Rogers, Chevron USA, verified the diagram
map symbols (U,I S) as the dispensed fuels noted in #2 above. Therefore
analytical sampling shall follow Table #2 of the "Tri Regional Board Staff
Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of
Underground Tank Sites", August 10, 1990 for Leaded Gas, Unleaded Gas,
and Waste and Used Oil or Unknown [SWRCB Resolution 92-46].
A Division of'an Joaquin[ounry Health Care semces 10
