INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Joe Toste, Jr , Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br />' quarterly report for the property located at 2353 Toste Road, Tracy, California The site and the <br /> surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 On-site structures,boring locations and monitoring well <br /> locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared <br />' Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 26 September 2000 Background information is <br /> summarized in Appendix A <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> rEleven ground water monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-11) were purged and sampled on <br /> 28 August 2004 Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground <br /> storage tank(UST) sites <br /> • 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> On 28 August 2004, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> wells MW-1 through MW-11 relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations <br /> and gradient were determined from these measurements (Table 1) <br /> After recording water level measurements,disposable plastic bailers were used to purge wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-11 of standing water Approximately 3 0 to 6 25 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 <br />' casing-water volumes per well) were removed from wells MW-1, MW-3, MW-5, MW-7, MW-9, <br /> MW-10 and MW-11 and approximately 12 0 gallons of water were removed from MW-6 <br /> Approximately 2 to 4 25 gallons of water were removed from wells MW-2,MW-5 and MW-8 before <br /> rthe wells were bailed dry Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular <br /> intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in <br /> IAppendix B Purged water was stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br /> 22 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Water samples were collected from the purged wells using new disposable plastic bailers after <br /> allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water <br /> sample was transferred into three 40-m1 volatile organic analysis(VOA)vials containing 0 5 ml 18% <br /> hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative <br /> IAdvanced GeoEnnronmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
