Monitoring Well Installation and Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2001 <br /> TRACY MARINE SALES <br />' 2353 Toste Road, Tracy, Califoriiia <br />' 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Joe Toste Jr , Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> ground water monitoring well installation and quarterly report for the property located at 2353 Toste <br /> Road, Tracy, California The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site <br />' structures, boring locations and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> Three ground water monitoring wells were installed and developed and eleven ground water <br />' monitoring wells were purged and sampled in March 2001 Field work was performed in accordance <br /> with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) <br /> approved Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 26 September 2000 <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />' This report is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> . (CVRWQCB) and PHS-EHD guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) <br />' sites and sampling of ground water monitoring wells Background information is summarized in the <br /> AGE-prepared report titled Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 26 September 2000 <br />' <br /> 2 KILLING AND 1 D SAMPLING <br />' In March 2001, three pilot soil borings were advanced at the site Pilot soil borings MW9 and MW10 <br /> were advanced using a CME-75 high torque dell ng, equipped with 8 25-inch diameter hollow-stem <br />' augers Pilot soil boring MW1 I was advanced using a Limited Access Drill Rig (LAR), equipped <br /> with 8 25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers The drill rigs and three-man crew were supplied by <br /> West Hazmat Drilling Corporation Auger returns generated by drilling were contamenzed in <br />' properly labeled DOT (Department of Transportation) -approved model 17H drums and stored <br /> on-site, pending laboratory analysis <br />' Soil samples were collected ahead of the drill bit using a California modified split-spoon sampler <br /> loaded with three pre-cleaned 2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves The samples were collected from <br /> monitoring well pilot borings MW9 and MW10 at five-foot intervals, beginning at 5 feet below <br />' surface grade(bsg) and from MW1 l at ten-foot intervals, beginning at 10 feet bsg using a 140-pound <br /> hammer to advance the sampler The number of blows required to advance the sampler over each <br /> 6-inch increment of the 18-inch sampling interval was recorded on the boring logs Sampling <br />' equipment was washed in an Alconox solution and rinsed with water prior to each sampling run to <br /> minimize cross-contamination <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br />
