Dear Mr. Knoll: Enclosed is an original copy of our: Report on Emergency Remediation for Continuation of Conctmcti n - 2480 Tracy Boulevard Tracy California. The remediation described in the report was necessitated when gasoline was discovered in the subsurface beneath the subject property. Data gathered from a site investigation and during the progress of the remediation work show that the source of the contamination affecting the property is to the south, at 575 West Grant Line Road. The latter location was formerly the site of a Chevron automobile-service station. It is up the groundwater gradient from 2480 Tracy Boulevard and has been cited by San Joaquin County Public Health Services as the site of an unauthorized release of hydrocarbon fuel. We have also provided a copy of the report to the Chevron U.S.A. Products Company. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation with the emergency remediation that was performed at the 2480 Tracy Boulevard site. The prompt response of San Joaquin County Public Health Services was a pivotal element of the successful emergency remediation work, which is now complete and has permitted construction on the subject property to resume with the least possible delay.
