Thornton Rd. RO#: 550
Lodi, CA., 95242 CUF#: 12992
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Corrective
Action Plan (CAP) as submitted by your consultant, Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc (AGE)
and has the following comments.
The CAP is a large comprehensive document that includes a detailed history of the site
from the time the underground storage tanks (UST) were removed in October 1998 to the
most recent monitoring well and vapor extraction test well installations in November 2006.
Also included in the CAP was a discussion of the soil and ground water contamination
assessment and evaluations of the recent vapor extraction test and a feasibility study for the
remedial alternatives that could work for this site.
Based on feasibility and cost comparisons of the remedial alternatives, your consultant has
concluded that in-situ soil vapor extraction (SVE) has the greatest feasibility to remediate
the soil and that in-situ air sparging (IAS) was the most feasible remedial alternative for
mitigating the petroleum impact to the ground water. The EHD concurs.
Please submit a Remediation Action Plan by July 31, 2007 that details the number, location,
and specifications for all of the remedial wells needed complete the corrective action.
You may contact Michael Infurna, Senior REHS at (209) 468-3454 if you have any
questions or wish to discuss the site.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Envir
oni "v`al Health
pa nt
Michael J.
