INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmentaI, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Quarterly Report for the third quarter <br /> of the year 2000 for 14749 Thornton Road, Lodi, California The site setting is Illustrated on Figure <br /> 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br />' The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground <br /> water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site This report is prepared <br />' in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the California Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board - Central Valley Division (RWQCB) for Investigation of underground storage tank (UST) <br /> I sites A summary of previous investigations at the site was Included in the Preliminary Site <br /> Investigation and Evaluation Report-November 1996, dated 20 June 1997 and prepared by AGE <br /> I2.0. QUARTERLY GROUND WATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> I• On 30 August 2000, ground water monitoring and sampling was performed at the site on wells <br /> MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-5 and MW-6 Ground water monitoring procedures for the site <br /> were outlined in Work Plan Addendum - October 1998, dated 14 October 1998 prepared by AGE <br /> and approved by the PHS-EHD by letter dated 21 December 1998 <br /> A coordinated effort was made between Three B's Truck Plaza and Flag City Chevron(6421 Capitol <br /> Avenue)to conduct ground water monitoring activities concurrently,the Flag City Chevron tabulated <br /> ground water elevation results are included with Appendix A <br /> 21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> IDepths to ground water were measured in each well from the tops of the well casings at the site to <br /> the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevation in each well at the <br /> I site were calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing <br /> elevations (Table 1) Ground water elevations were plotted and contoured on a scaled site map <br /> (Figure 3) <br /> After water levels were measured, approximately 6 to 9 gallons of ground water(a mimmum of three <br /> casing-water volumes per well) were removed from wells MW-1 through MW-6 utilizing a <br /> Isubmersible pump Temperature, pH and conductivity were measured for stabilization at regular <br /> purge-volume intervals from each well using a Hydac water analyzer Field data and logs are <br /> included with Appendix B Purged ground water was containerized in 55-gallon drums and was <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
