Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2003 THREE B'S TRUCK PLAZA ' 14749 Thornton Road, Lodi, California 1.0• INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for 14749 Thornton ' Road (the site), Lodi, California The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 ' The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site This report has been prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (CRWQCB-CVR) for investigation of underground storage tank (UST)sites A summary of previous investigations at the site was included in Work Plan Addendum -July 2002, dated 23 July 2002, prepared by AGE, ground water monitoring data acquired to date ' is included in the tables of this report Previous soil characteristics data obtained by a CPT investigation enabled AGE to define six ' informal hydrologic units (CPT Site Investigation -Fourth Quarter 2001, dated 15 March 2002) The informal hydrogeologic units were defined as Hydrologic Unit 1 (10-35 feet bsg), Hydrologic Unit 2 (35-60 feet bsg), Hydrologic Unit 3 (60-90 feet bsg), Hydrologic Unit 4 (90-110 feet bsg), Hydrologic Unit 5 (110 to 130 feet) and Hydrologic Unit 6 (130 to at least 150 feet bsg) The following is a brief summary of second quarter site assessment activities performed at the site • 15 September 2003 - Depth to water measurements collected at wells MW-1 through p g MW-12, ground water monitoring performed at wells MW-3, MW-7 (A-E) and MW-8 ' (A-F), • 16 September 2003 - Ground water monitoring performed at wells MW-2, MW-4, MW-5, ' MW-6, MW-9 (A-E), MW-10 (A-F) and domestic drinking water well DW-1, • 17 September 2003-Ground water monitoring performed at wells MW-1,MW-11 (A-F)and ' MW-12 (A-F) ' 2.0. MONITORING AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES On 15, 16 and 17 September 2003, ground water monitoring was performed at the site on ground ' water monitoring wells MW-i through MW-12 and domestic water well (DW-1), monitoring well construction details are summarized in Table 1 Ground water monitoring procedures were outlined in Work Plan Addendum - October 1998, dated 14 October 1998, prepared by AGE and approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) by letter dated 21 December 1998 r Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc I
