ATTACMSENT TO INITIAL STUDY FOR A TIME EXTENSION FOR SU-89-19
2. Other Agencies
Prior to recording the Map, permits may be required from the
State Reclamation Board and/or the Regional Water Quality
Control Board. This time extension, however, does not require
permits from any other agency.
3 b. Plant and Animal Life
A survey of the Natural Diversity Data Base indicates that
this site is within the general location of two species of
special concern. The Tricolored Blackbird (agelaius tricolor)
(Fed: Candidate 2) was observed in 1936 as a colony of
approximately 150 nesting in cattails in a canal near Lodi.
As this project is not located near a canal, there is not
substantial evidence to indicate that this project may have a
significant impact on the Tricolored Blackbird.
In 1984 a survey of sites along the Calaveras River Near
Waterloo found exit holes for the Valley Elderberry Longhorn
Beetle (desmocerus californicus dimorphus) (Fed: Threatened) .
No Adults were observed. There is not substantial evidence to
indicate that this project would have a significant impact on
the Valley Elderberry Longhorn Beetle.
8 a. b. Utilities and Public Services
As a condition of the tentative map, a County Service Area
will be formed for the maintenance and operation of Public
Sewage Disposal (packaged treatment plant) , Water Supply (two
well water system) and Storm Drainage (detention pond with
terminal outlet) .
12 Aesthetics
As a condition of approval of the tentative map, a 26 foot
wide landscaped strip and a solid masonry wall are required
along Eight Mile Road.
Initial Study (Rev:01/91)
9
