PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES OPu!N C
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY r.
JOGI KHANNA M.D.,M.P.H. ".r ° •
Health Officer
C,C/FpPt`P
P.O. Box 2009 (1601 East Hazelton Avenue) Stockton,California 95201
(209) 468-3400 /Rs
FY ' {A -•
f Z
February 13 , 1990 FEB ')o
F.
TO: Richard Larrouy, Associate Planner -'ijj,r,
San Joaquin County Planning Division
FROM : Fred Kaufman , Program, Manager, I
Environmental Health Division
RE : NOP ER-90-8
We have the following comments on the NOP.
WATER: The EIR should identify the 10 year, 50 year and 100 year
flood elevations on the map. The location of the proposed well
should be . shown along with any facilities required . The well
must be under permit , county standards and inspection by the
Environmental Health Division. We would also like a
eterrnination on the EIR that the extraction of 10 , 000 gallons of
water a day will not impact, existing quality and quantity of
ground water .
HAZARD: : Dust control measures should be identified along with
what is proposed to be used as a dust palliative .
NOISE : The location proposed is next to the community of
Clements . Noise contours from the operation should be identified
to determine whether there will be an impact to the community .
Noises may tend to resonate from a depression.
A waste discharge permit from the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board will be required . A copy of the draft EIR
should be sent to them for their review, Tom Vorester, Senior
Engineer, Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board,
3443 Routier Road , Sacramento, Calif . 95827-3098 .
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
