CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 58-539 <br /> FOR <br /> EAST-SIDE WINERY <br /> dba OAK RIDGE VINEYARDS <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> This monitoring and reporting program (MRP) presents requirements for monitoring of the wastewater <br /> effluent, wastewater ponds, and groundwater. This MRP is issued pursuant to Water Code Section <br /> 13267, The Discharger shall not implement any changes to this MRP unless and until a revised MRP is <br /> issued by the Executive Officer. Specific sample station locations shall be approved by Regional Board <br /> staff prior to implementation of sampling activities. <br /> All wastewater samples should be representative of the volume and nature of the discharge. The time, <br /> date, and location of each grab sample shall be recorded on the sample chain of custody form. <br /> LEACHFIELD MONITORING <br /> The domestic wastewater systems will be visually monitored. Leachfield monitoring will consist of <br /> visual inspection of the leachfield and nearby area. The leachfield shall be inspected on a monthly basis <br /> for the presence of wet areas, leachate or groundwater seepage, objectionable odors, and/or unexpected <br /> plant growth. Leachfield monitoring results shall be included with all monthly monitoring reports. <br /> EFFLUENT MONITORING <br /> Process wastewater samples from the winery and the distillery shall be collected prior to discharge into a <br /> pond. Distillery effluent sampling is required only when the distillery is in operation. Distillery samples <br /> shall be collected weekly while distillery effluent is being discharged. Flow monitoring shall be <br /> conducted continuously using a flow meter and shall be reported in cumulative gallons per day. Effluent <br /> monitoring shall include at least the following: <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Sampling Frequency Re-porting Frequency <br /> Flow Gallons Metered Continuous Monthly <br /> i <br /> BODS mg/1 Grab Monthly, Monthly <br /> Suspended Solids mg/1 Grab Monthly, Monthly <br /> Sulfate mg/1 Grab Monthly, Monthly <br /> Nitrate as Nitrogen mg/I Grab Monthly, Monthly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/I Grab Monthly, Monthly <br /> Volatile Dissolved Solids mg/1 Grab Monthly, Monthly <br /> Specific Conductivity µmhos/cm Grab Monthly, Monthly <br /> Dissolved Oxygen mg/1 Grab Monthly, Monthly <br /> pH pH units Grab Monthly, Monthly <br /> Five-day, 20°Celsius Biochemical Oxygen Demand. <br /> 2 Distillery effluent sampling is required weekly when distillery is in operation. <br />
