r <br /> Mr. Christopher Cochrane <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> July 31, 2000 <br /> Page 3 <br /> ANALYTICAL MrTHoDs <br /> The groundwater samples will be analyzed by a California-certified hazardous waste <br /> laboratory for general mineral parameters including: TDS, electrical conductivity, pH, sulfate, <br /> chloride, potassium, calcium,iron,manganese, magnesium, sodium, nitrate,bicarbonate, and <br /> carbonate. <br /> REPORTING <br /> After receiving the analytical results of the groundwater samples from the laboratory and <br /> evaluation of groundwater gradients based on the measurements from six wells, a letter-report <br /> will be prepared for submittal to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (RWQCB). The letter will include a summary of the groundwater sampling field <br /> observations, laboratory data, and an evaluation of the findings. <br /> ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE <br /> Geomatrix will initiate the scope of services within 2 weeks after receiving approval from the <br /> RWQCB and authorization to proceed from Dole. Field activities can be started within <br /> 2 weeks after receiving a drilling permit from the PHS/EHD (depending upon driller <br /> availability). Monitoring well installation is anticipated to take 3 days. Groundwater <br /> sampling is anticipated to take 2 days. Sample analyses will take 2 to 3 weeks to complete. A <br /> draft letter-report will be prepared for Dole's review and comment within 4 weeks after <br /> receiving the laboratory data.
