northeast, towards the SBC facility TPH-G concentrations detected in the monitoring wells <br /> ilocated on the property were reported at up to 2,400 ppm in initial sampling events and <br />' decreasing over time However, TPH-D was not listed as being analyzed for in the monitoring <br /> program No analytes were detected in monitoring wells located in the downgradient direction, <br />' along Adam Street 1n December 1996, the SJCEHD issued a no further action letter for the <br /> property <br /> The 1945 and 1947 Sanborn maps depict the property as having been occupied by a gas and oil <br /> station (section 1 1) At the time of this report, the property was vacant, with any previous <br /> buildings removed <br /> Stan Mora Ford and Chrysler <br /> The property, located approximately 550 feet to the southwest of the SBC site, is listed in the <br /> LUST, Cortese, FID, and historical UST databases (Photograph 12) The historical UST <br /> database lists the property as having contained a 500-gallon gasoline UST and a waste oil UST of <br /> unidentified capacity The property is listed in the LUST database due to a reported leak from <br /> waste oil UST, with the case listed as closed <br />�• According to the SJCEHD records, a 150-gallon waste oil UST was removed from thero ert <br /> p P Y <br /> in 1988, with elevated levels of petroleum hydrocarbons encountered The area was <br /> subsequently over-excavated, with groundwater impact and remaining in-place soil <br /> contamination noted following over-excavation activities (Murray and Associates, 1991) <br /> In May 1990, a total of 6 soil borings were performed on the property, with two of the borings <br /> Iperformed adjacent to a 500-gallon gasoline UST proposed for in-place closure (Murray and <br /> Associates, 1990) Results of soil and groundwater samples came back with no detectable <br />' concentrations of TPH-G or benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) constituents <br /> The gasoline UST was reportedly then closed in place <br /> t <br /> In October 1990, the area of the former waste oil UST was over-excavated again in an attempt to <br /> remove remaining impacted soils Following over-excavation, minor concentrations of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in confirmation soil samples <br /> • CNCD104-28-031SHAREIUS-nO3-0027 doc 9 <br /> 1 <br />
