Additionally,the rail road spur will be sampled. The sampling will be completed with a <br /> geoprobe drilling rig operated by RSI Drilling of Woodland, California. LAC professional associate, <br /> Fred Allison,P.E., will supervise the drilling activities. <br /> BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> The property is developed with six one-story warehouse-type buildings, asphalt-paved parking areas and <br /> exterior truck docks. A three-track covered rail spur extends along the eastern exterior of Buildings 2, 3 <br /> and 4. Buildings 1 and 2 (1604 Tillie Lewis Dr.) are occupied by Four Truckers Nationwide Express. <br /> Building 3 (1604 Tillie Lewis Dr.)is currently vacant although leased by Malnove, Inc. Building 4 (1488 <br /> Tillie Lewis Dr.) is occupied by American Door Manufacturing Company. Building 5 is occupied by <br /> Silgan Containers (1605 Tillie Lewis Dr.) and by Castle Metals (1625 Tillie Lewis Dr.). Building 6 <br /> (1505 Tillie Lewis Dr.) is occupied by Silgan Containers, Copperfield Chimney Supplies, Inc., and E-Z <br /> Vent Sheet Metal Products. A storm water retention pond is located between Building 6 and Tillie Lewis <br /> Drive. <br /> The current and historical storage and use of hazardous materials and the generation and storage of <br /> hazardous wastes including hydraulic oils, machine coolants, halogenated solvents, building maintenance <br /> materials and associated wastes have occurred in the manufacturing, waste storage, processing, and <br /> equipment areas of the property. Specific areas of concern include the hazardous waste storage area <br /> behind Building 5, the storm water retention pond, the glue machine steam cleaning area and rinse water <br /> interceptor at American Door Manufacturing Company (Building 4), and the historical operation of the <br /> BNSF Railway spur concerning suspected impact from hazardous substances associated with rail lines <br /> and even possible ballast dumping. <br />
