Therefore, verification soil samples of the excavation will be collected inside the shoring <br /> (Figure 1). 'Vire propose to collect samples at five locations as illustrated in Figure 1 by excavating <br /> with a backhoe. Each sample will be collected just above the zone of saturation, at approximately <br /> 9 to 10 feet below the surface. The samples will be collected as close to the sharing as feasible. <br /> Sampling and analyses will be performed in accordance with the procedures outlined in the <br /> February 19, 1990 plan.
