Quarterly Monitoring Report - Third Quarter 2997 <br /> Shell Service Station <br /> 3725 Tracy Boulevard <br /> Tracy, California <br /> WIC #204-7884-0901 <br /> Dear Mr Perez <br /> This Quarterly Monitoring Report describes the recently completed activities <br /> associated with ground water monitoring and sampling at the referenced site <br /> (Plates 1 and 2) This report was prepared to meet reporting requirements issued <br /> by the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region and San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> Monitoring & Sampling Summary <br /> Ground water monitoring and sampling for the third quarter 1997 are summarized <br /> below <br /> • Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California measured ground <br /> water levels and collected ground water samples from Wells MW-1A, MW-2A, <br /> and MW-3A on August 27, 1997 Samples were transported to Sequoia <br /> Analytical of Redwood City, California for chemical analysis <br /> • Enviros, Inc (Enviros) evaluated water-level measurement data and prepared a <br /> ground water contour map (Plate 2) Ground water appears to flow <br /> northeasterly at an approximate hydraulic gradient of 0 003 <br /> • MTBE was detected in Wells MW-1 A and MW-2A at concentrations of 73,000 <br /> ppb and 640 ppb, respectively Methanol was detected in Well MW-IA at a <br /> concentration of 20,000 ppb A benzene concentration map was prepared and <br /> is presented on Plate 2 <br /> Quarterly Sampling <br /> Monitoring Wells MW-1A, MW-2A, and MW-3A were sampled and analyzed for <br /> Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons quantitated as gasoline (TPPH) according <br /> to EPA Method 8015 (Modified), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX) <br /> and methyl-tertiary-butyl-ether (MTBE) according to EPA Method 8020, and an <br /> EPA Method 8260 analysis was performed for Oxygenate compounds <br /> Envlrps, Inc 270 Perkins StreEt Sonoma Caklorma Tel 707/935 4550 <br /> P O Bax 259 95476 0259 Fax 707/935 6649 <br />
