CAMBRIA <br /> Cambria issued a Sensitive Receptor Survey in November 1999 for the subject site Well records <br /> obtained from the California Department of Water Resources identified ten water wells within <br /> 2,000 feet of the site <br /> During August 2002 Cambria video-logged an abandoned water-supply well located at the <br /> subject site The location of this well (RW) is shown on Figure 2 The well was constructed of <br /> six inch diameter steel well casing and was screened from 107 to 115 fbg On February 14, <br /> 2003, with permission from SJCEHD, the former water supply well was properly destroyed The <br /> destruction activities are documented in Cambria's April 29, 2003 Well Destruction Report <br /> I <br /> Periodic groundwater extraction has been performed at the subject site since February 2000 <br /> Groundwater is currently extracted from well MW-1A and a UST complex backfill well (BF-1) <br /> Groundwater extracted during these events is transported via vacuum truck to the Martinez <br /> Refining Complex where it is recycled As of April 22, 2003, approximately 194,231 gallons of <br /> groundwater has been extracted through this program Calculations based on this volume and <br /> groundwater analytical data from the monitoring wells suggest approximately 5 45 pounds of <br /> TPHg, 0 102 pounds of benzene, and 515 pounds of MTBE have been recovered from beneath <br /> . the site <br /> Wells MW-1A, MW-2A, and MW-3A have been sampled on a quarterly basis since they were <br /> installed Depth to groundwater at this site has ranged from approximately 7 4 to 112 fbg The <br /> predominant groundwater flow direction is to the northeast <br /> INVESTIGATION RESULTS <br /> Personnel Present Geologist Geno Mammim directed the field activities, working <br /> under the supervision of California Registered Geologist <br /> Joe Neely <br /> Permits Cambria obtained monitoring well installation permit from <br /> SJCEHD <br /> nCalifornia License <br /> Drilling Compa y.
