' GW&SW Monitoring Report
COE-WDR
Project No. 894.2
' September 1,2011
' Field measurements were recorded for the following parameters:
• Groundwater Elevation (0.01 ft)
• Temperature
' • pH
• Specific Conductance (EC)
• Dissolved Oxygen(DO)
' 3.4 Groundwater Analytical Discussion
The analytical results are discussed below. Summary analytical data are included in Table 2
' of Appendix A. A site map with monitoring well locations is included as Figure 2. The
analytical data lab sheets are included in Appendix B.
' The 3rd quarter 2011 groundwater analytical data are summarized as follows:
• Generally the concentrations of the various groundwater analytes showed minor
' fluctuations this quarter with no significant increases or decreases occurring and the
concentrations found are within the range observed thus far.
' • Total dissolved solids (TDS) — reported concentrations that ranged from 404 mg/l
(MW-7) to 614 mg/l (MW-11) and decreased in all other wells during the 3`d quarter
2011 groundwater monitoring event with the exception of MW-8 and MW-11.
• Fixed dissolved solids (FDS) — reported concentrations that ranged from 172 mg/l
(MW-3) to 516 mg/l (MW-11) and increased in all other wells during the 3rd quarter
2011 groundwater monitoring event with the exception of MW-3, MW-4 and MW-6.
' • Volatile dissolved solids (VDS) — reported concentrations that ranged from 14 mg/l
(MW-5) to 318 mg/l (MW-3) and decreased in all other wells during the 3rd quarter
2011 groundwater monitoring event with the exception of MW-3, MW-4, MW-6, and
' MW-8.
• Nitrate as Nitrogen — reported concentrations that ranged from ND<0.5 mg/l (MW-6
and MW-11) to 29.6 mg/1 (MW-8) and decreased in all other wells during the 3rd
' quarter 2011 groundwater monitoring event with the exception of MW-3, MW-8,
MW-9, and MW-10.
• Sodium concentrations were reported to range from 23 mg/1 (MW-9) to 86 mg/l
' (MW-3) and decreased or remained the same in all other wells during the 3`d quarter
2011 groundwater monitoring event with the exception of MW-7.
• Chloride concentrations were reported to range from 22 mg/l (MW-10) to 88 mg/l
' (MW-1) and increased in all other wells during the 3`d quarter 2011 groundwater
monitoring event with the exception of MW-9 and MW-10.
• BOD5 — was reported in concentrations that ranged from ND<1 mg/l (MW-3 and
' MW-4) to 13.7 mg/L (MW-6) and decreased in all other wells during the 3`d quarter
2011 groundwater monitoring event with the exception of MW-6, MW-9, MW-10
' and MW-11.
' Geological TechAics Inc. 5
894 3rd QMR l Ldoc
