110 Turner Road Page 2
The contaminated soil which is excavated will be placed on and covered by 10 mil visqueen
pending analytical results and obtaining an aeration permit from the San Joaquin Valley
Unified Air Pollution Control District. Tillage and fertilizer application may be employed
to further enhance remediation of the soil. The plan indicated that periodic soil samples
would be collected to monitor the progress of remediation. Once remediation is complete,
confirmation soil samples will be required.
PHS/EHD will evaluate the residual soil contamination at the completion of the excavation
attempt to determine if a groundwater investigation is warranted.
If you have any questions or wish to schedule a site inspection, please contact Mary Meays,
Senior REHS, of my staff at (209) 468-0337.
Ernest M.
