The organic chemical <br /> your sampling detected, 1,1,1-trichloromethane (1,1,1-TCA) is listed as insoluble in water and heavier <br /> than water. It is reasonable to assume that even when 1,1,1-TCA is discharged in small amounts <br /> meeting pretreatment program standards, it could accumulate at the bottom of a sewer line. <br /> The City is of course concerned on any impacts 1,1,1-TCA could have on local groundwater. The City <br /> hereby requests information on all monitoring that has been performed in the vicinity of Lustre-Cal and <br /> the sanitary sewer line including soil borings, hydropunch, and any other monitoring information.
