Box 2
Lockeford, California 95237-002
INSPECTION REPORT, CITY OF LOCKEFORD WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT, SAN
JOAQUIN COUNTY
This letter summarizes my 21 February 2001 inspection of your facility. In general, the wastewater
treatment plant was clean and well maintained. A site inspection photograph log is enclosed with this
letter.
The following observations were made during the site inspection:
• All wastewater is being discharged from the headworks to Pond A. Six 7.5-horsepower surface
aerators were installed in the pond. Approximately half of the aerators were operating during the
inspection. No odor was noted in the vicinity of the pond.
• The freeboard level in all ponds was acceptable (at least two feet).
• In general, the levees were in good condition at the time of my inspection.
• A small amount of algae was observed in the southeast corner of each wastewater pond. Because
of the potential for mosquito breeding in the algae, Lockeford CSD shall monitor the algae
accumulation and remove it if required.
• The off-site storage pond was in good condition with minor plant growth along the berms.
• The reclamation area was in good condition. Wastewater was not being applied to the
reclamation area. Fences in the application area were in good condition.
If you have any questions on this information, please telephone me at (916) 255-3116.
TIMOTHY R.
