Stantec
UST and Line Removal Report
ARCO Service Station No. 6080
March 15, 2011
4.2 PIPING AND UST DISPOSAL
The three fiberglass USTs were hauled and disposed of off-site at the Republic Services Vasco
Road Landfill in Livermore in Livermore, California. Approximately 10 cubic yards of non-
hazardous product piping was transported off-site for proper disposal by Belshire
Environmental, Inc. of Foothill Ranch, California. The product line disposal documents are
included in Appendix C.
4.3 STOCKPILED SOIL REUSE
According to the laboratory analytical results, lead was detected above the laboratory method
reporting limit at a concentration of 10 mg/kg from SP-1(ABCD) and methanol at 0.17 mg/kg
from P-3-3.5. All other analytes were detected below the laboratory method reporting limit.
Based on a telephone conversation with Mr. Muniappa Naidu of SJCEHD on December 27,
2010, the stockpiled soil was approved to be reused as backfill material after soil
characterization samples showed low to non-detect contaminant impacts.
5.0 CONCLUSION
Soil sampling activities in the area of the USTs, fuel dispensers, product lines, and associated
piping have identified no concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil. Based on this,
Stantec concludes that no further assessment is warranted at this time.
6080 UST and Line Removal Report.doc 5
