Port of Stockton page 2
Site 3, Port Roads 14 & G.
Additionally, historical TPHg and Benzene concentration levels in MW3-2 and MW3-3
have and continue to exceed allowable limits-of contaminants allowed to be left in place
without remediation. New MW3-6 also exceeds allowable limits for TPHg and Benzene
and will.require additional sampling events to verify if this is a consistent concern. EHD
cannot concur with your consultant's recommendation that "monitored natural
attenuation s
i theappropriate ro riate remed
iation alternative for this site.
After the new wells stabilize and if repeatable.samples indicate petroleum concentrations
levels still exceed allowable limits, further investigation will be required to delineate the
plume. After the extent of petroleum has been delineated, EHD will evaluate a
Feasibility Study that evaluates at least two cost-effective remedial alternatives for
returning this site to 'pre-UST release' conditions.
You may contact me at minfurna(cbsicehd.com or by phone at (209) 468-3464 should
you have any questions.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael J.
