Loewen, R.G."
STATUS: APPROVED, with comments noted below.
ADEQUATE AND NECESSARY ELEMENTS OF THE WORKPLAN Health &
Safety Code (H&S) Section 25299.37(c)(3)1:
• Install three, first-groundwater monitoring wells to about 25' bgs for
lateral dissolved petroleum plume delineation,
• Collect intrinsic bioremediation indicator parameters for evaluation
for long-term groundwater remediation,
• Develop, survey, and add new monitoring wells to existing quarterly
monitoring and reporting requirements and,
• Submit report of findings to EHD.
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
• Installation of steel conductor casing in first zone soil boring for
continued, second, deeper zone investigation (vertical delineation) is
not required. EHD recommends CPT (dual hole) boring to 50' bgs for
lithological characterization and collection of grab groundwater and
soil samples. If groundwater contamination is detected from or
between 35' to 50' bgs, then an additional deep, short-screened
monitoring well is to be installed in the more permeable interval in
the deeper zone.
