Dear Carat. The Port of Stockton(Port) is in receipt of your letters dated November 3 and 13, 1'998. The Letter of November 3, 1990 requests that the Part conduct additional site investigatiorvcharacterization for site 5 (Site Code#1237). Your letter of November 13, 1998 however, convoys a site closure and additional site investigation for the following separate and distinct sites within the Port: • Site 2: (Site Code#12822124): your letter indicates11 the PHS/EHD is not requiring further investigation of this area at this time". Therefore, the PHS/EHD has granted the Port a site closure for site 2_ • Site 3: (Site Code #12822124): Your letter requires the Part to conduct further site investigation/characterization for this site. The PHSJEHD rational for this request is that residual petroleum constituents were identified by the site investigation report. The Port would like to briefly discuss the necessary submission and the associated timetable for sites 3 and 5 with you as specified in the above refarenced letters. In addition, the Port is awaiting site closure letters from the PHSfEHD for sites 1 and 4 as the site investigation reports submitted to the PHSlEHD did not reveal any residual contamination for these sites, Please forward separate site closure letters for sites 1 and 4 to my attention as soon as passible.
