q`
Documents obtained from the Environmental Health Division indicate that soil samples
were collected at an underground storage tank site at Port Road 14 and G on December 3,
1987. The samples were collected under the supervision of the County Inspector. Soil
analytical results from this tank site showed only 51 milligrams per kilogram(mg/kg) of
motor oil at one end of the tank site and 94 mg/kg of motor oil at the opposite end of the
tank excavation. There was no indication of the presence of benzene, toluene, total
xylenes, gasoline, diesel, or ethylene dibromide in the excavation. Because only low levels
of motor oil were identified at the tank site adjacent to Port Road 14 and G, the Port
requests that the Environmental Health Division allow closure of this site.
Please let us know, at your earliest convenience,.if the extension from March 21 to June
30, 1998 for submittal of the investigation work pian is acceptable for these tank sites. In
addition, please let us know if closure of the Port Road 14 and G tank site is acccptable to
the Environmental Health Division.
Sincerely,
That Loveland
i
f!
