Nuel Henderson recommended immediate
resampling of these MWs to confirm the ground water results for the'lastest round and then go to quarterly
sampling, if appropriate.
Postponement of injection in this area seems warranted, until more data is.available and reevaluated_
HARLIN KNOLL
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY/EHD.
600E MAIN STREET
STOCKTON, CA 95202
(209)468-3442
FAX: 468-3433
From: Chris Strong [mailto:cstrong@wgr-sw.com]
Sent: Tuesday, August 31, 2010 10:08 AM
To: Harlin Knoll [EH]
Cc: 'Tim Neal WGR'
Subject: Third Quarter UST#3 Sampling and Remediation Activities
Hi Harlin, in follow-up to our phone conversation this morning, I just wanted to confirm county approval for
the details we discussed regarding the UST#3 site at the Port of Stockton (T0607711817). In response to
our 8120110 letter to the county, you said.you were OK with the sampling of the two extra wells, MW3-6 and
MW3-9, this quarter in addition to the MW3-8 well, which we have already been sampling on a quarterly
basis. This is in order to better assess downgradient natural attenuation trends and temporarily hold back
on installing the downgradient dissolved oxygen injection system unless natural attenuation proves t.
insufficient. We will plan to go ahead and sample wells MW3-6,.MW3-8 and MW3-9 this quarter and will
still be installing the Ozone-Peroxide Pilot system at the core of the plume, as approved in the 7130110
SJCDEH comment letter.
Regards,
Chris Strong, PG
Senior Geologist
WGR Southwest, Inc.
315 W.
