The Port of Stockton (Port)is pleased to submit the enclosed laboratory analysis and
associated documents for the following quarterly ground water monitoring event which took place
for Site 5 on October 22, 1999.
• On October 22, 1999, Precision Enviro-Tech(PET) Analytical Laboratory field
personnel, Jonathan Le, and Mike Luksic, Environmental Specialist/field Geologist for
the Port of Stockton, sounded and obtained representative ground water samples from
Site 5 (see Appendix A, Figure 1 for site location) wells (MW5-1, MW5-2, and MW5-
3). Prior to sample collection, each sounded well was purged until the ground-water
parameters of temperature, electrical conductivity, and pH had stabilized and a minimum of
three well-volumes of water had been evacuated. The wells were allowed to recharge to at
least 901/o of their respective static water levels prior to sample collection.. The purged well
ground water was stored in a dedicated 55 gallon drum labeled as purged well water.
• Upon obtaining ground water samples, in-situ water quality screenings for pH,
temperature, and electrical conductivity were measured by field personnel. The
following table summarizes the field in-situ measurements (See Appendix B for the hard
copy of the field in-situ screening). The samples were recovered using clean, disposable
bailers, and were then transferred into 40-m1 VOA vials. All samples were labeled, placed in
an ice chest, chilled on Blue Ice to 4°C, and transported to PET(an FLAP-certified
laboratory)for analysis using appropriate chain-of-custody procedures. The results of the
laboratory analysis are as follows (see Appendix C for the hard copy of the data).
oozsfte3dosi¢ dm
Post Office Box 2089 • Stockton.
