As you know the foregoing <br /> reports are provided in order to fulfill the PHS/EHD request for additional site investigation information. <br /> With regard to Site Number 5,the conclusions and recommendations of the enclosed report clearly <br /> indicate that there is no risk posed to the human health and the environment and hence it recommends that the <br /> site be closed with no further actions required. With respect to Site Number 3,because of the low potential <br /> risk to human health and the environment, and due to the fact that the concentrations of PHCs appear to be <br /> limited in depth and attenuating with time,it is recommended that this site be monitored for several quarters to <br /> confirm that natural attenuation is taking place and to establish ground water gradient at the site. <br /> In closing,the Port would like to thank you for your continued spirit of partnering,cooperation, and <br /> guidance regarding these projects.
