("Stantec") is submitting this Site Assessment Report to summarize the advancement <br /> of three soil borings (BA-1 through BA-3) associated with Chevron-Branded Service Station No. <br /> 96171 located at 6633 Pacific Avenue in Stockton, California (the "Site") as shown on the Site <br /> Location Map, Figure 1. The purpose of the investigation was to conduct an environmental <br /> assessment prior to the completion of a proposed property transaction. Soil boring advancement <br /> activities were performed under a San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department permit <br /> (Attachment 1). <br /> FIELD OPERATIONS <br /> Field operations included the clearing, advancement and sampling of three soil borings (BA-1 <br /> through BA-3) from July 29 through July 31, 2014, at the locations shown on the Site Map, Figure 2. <br /> Soil borings were advanced using a hollow-stem auger drilling rig. Soil boring BA-1 was advanced <br /> to assess the existing gasoline USTs and a former used oil UST. Soil boring BA-2 was advanced to <br /> assess the existing gasoline USTs. Soil boring BA-3 was advanced to assess the existing fuel <br /> dispensers. Soil borings BA-1 and BA-2 were advanced to a total depth of 40 feet below ground <br /> surface ("bgs") while soil boring BA-3 was advanced to 45 feet bgs. Soil samples were collected <br /> at 5 foot intervals throughout the length of each boring. Groundwater was encountered during <br /> drilling activities at depths ranging from 35 feet bgs (BA-1 and BA-2) to 39.5 feet bgs (BA-3). The <br /> Design with community In mind <br />
