1 <br /> ARCADIS 2009/2010 Annual <br /> Monitoring Report <br /> ' Union Pacific Railroad <br /> Company <br /> Former Maintenance Facility <br /> ' Tracy,California <br /> 1.0 Introduction <br /> ARCADIS U.S., Inc. (ARCADIS) has prepared this 2009/2010 Annual Monitoring <br /> Report for the UPRR Former Maintenance Facility located at 720 East Sixth Street in <br /> Tracy, San Joaquin County, California('the site'; Figures 1 and 2),on behalf of the <br /> ' Union Pacific Railroad Company(UPRR).This report was prepared in accordance with <br /> the reporting requirements of California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (RWQCB) Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) Number R5-2002-0807. <br /> ' This report provides a summary of groundwater monitoring and remediation activities <br /> conducted at the site between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010 (2009/2010 reporting <br /> ' period). <br /> 2.0 Groundwater Monitoring Well Network <br /> ' During February 2010,five new monitoring wells were installed at the site to better <br /> t assess the groundwater quality beneath the site. The five wells were installed and <br /> developed in accordance with the methods and procedures presented in the Phase II <br /> Investigation Work Plan prepared by ARCADIS and dated January 6, 2009 ('the Work <br /> ' Plan'j.The Work Plan was approved by the RWQCB in a letter to UPRR dated <br /> February 19, 2009.The Well Installation Summary Report prepared by ARCADIS and <br /> dated March 11, 2010 was submitted to the RWQCB and provides details regarding <br /> ' the well installation activities. <br /> The five new wells were sampled during the March 2010 sampling event and will be <br /> ' sampled for at least four consecutive quarters in accordance to the MRP. <br /> 3.0 Groundwater Sampling <br /> ' The semiannual groundwater sampling event was conducted on November 19 and 20, <br /> 2009 and the annual groundwater sampling event was conducted during March 16 <br /> through 18, 2010.The MRP requires that groundwater samples be collected as <br /> outlined below: <br /> ' Annually— MW-01A, MW-01 B, MW-01 C, MW-02B, MW-04A through MW-08A, <br /> and MW-IOB through MW-16B <br /> ' Semiannually— MW-02A, MW-09A, MW-1 OA, MW-22A,TW-03, and TW-04 <br /> P:WFlCPDIS De,eWMacIsMWeWnron Pedac aei�memFclw-i,enve,aDexveswes�cw mmnwing2o�oaa i,sY rera nma�cw uc2oluF�w13»9zotoanal <br /> ' - Page: 1/7 <br />
