ARCADIS 2010/2011 Annual <br /> Monitoring Report <br /> Union Pacific Railroad <br /> Company <br /> Tracy, CA- Maintenance <br /> 1.0 Introduction Facility <br /> ARCADIS U.S., Inc. (ARCADIS) has prepared this monitoring report on behalf of the <br /> Union Pacific Railroad Company(UPRR) regarding the UPRR former Maintenance <br /> Facility located at 720 East Sixth Street in Tracy, San Joaquin County, California (the <br /> Site; Figures 1 and 2)for submittal to the California Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board, Central Valley Region (RWQCB). . <br /> Sampling activities were conducted in accordance with Monitoring and Reporting Order <br /> (MRO) Number R5-2002-0807 and the Draft MRO dated February 11, 2009 (RWQCB <br /> 2009). This report provides a summary of groundwater monitoring and sampling <br /> activities conducted at the site between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011 (2010/2011 <br /> reporting period). <br /> 2.0 Groundwater Sampling <br /> Quarterly groundwater sampling of new wells(MW-23A through MW-27A)was <br /> conducted on June 21 and September 23, 2010. Semiannual groundwater sampling <br /> was conducted on November 22 and 23, 2010. A annual groundwater sampling was <br /> conducted during March 16 through 18, 2011. Groundwater samples were collected <br /> from wells as outlined below: <br /> • Quarterly—(five wells) newly installed wells MW-23A, MW-24A, MW-25A, MW- <br /> 26A, and MW-27A <br /> • Semiannually— (six wells) MW-02A, MW-09A, MW-10A, MW-22A, TW-03, and <br /> TW-04 <br /> • Annually— (23 wells) MW-01 A, MW-01 B, MW-01 C, MW-02B, MW-04A through <br /> MW-08A, and MW-10B through MW-16B <br /> Wells TW-04, MW-06A, MW-08A, and MW-11A were not sampled during the <br /> November 2010 or the March 2011 monitoring events because free product was <br /> present in these wells. Presence of free product in this area is consistent with historical <br /> observations. <br /> 3.0 Sampling Procedures <br /> Groundwater monitoring and sampling activities were conducted by Blaine Tech <br /> Services, Inc. (Blaine Tech).
