ARCADIS 2010/2011 Annual
Monitoring Report
Union Pacific Railroad
Company
Tracy, CA- Maintenance
Blaine Tech field notes are provided in Appendix A. Laboratory data reports and the Facility
data review memoranda are included in Appendix B.
4.0 Laboratory Data Review
Analytical data were reviewed by Conestoga-Rovers &Associates (CRA) by the
criteria established by the methods and with the following guidance documents:
• USEPA Contract Laboratory Program National Functional Guidelines for Organic
Data Review(USEPA 1999)
• USEPA Contract Laboratory Program National Functional Guidelines for Inorganic
Data Review(USEPA 1994)
According to CRA, overall the data were found to exhibit acceptable levels of accuracy
and precision, based on the provided information, and may be used without
qualification.A memorandum summarizing the data review for each of the sampling
events is included in Appendix B.
5.0 Results
This section presents the results of groundwater elevations and gradients,free-product
observations, and analytical results.
5.1 Groundwater Elevations and Gradients
Table 1 presents the depth-to-groundwater measurements and groundwater
elevations. November 2010 groundwater elevation contour maps for the A-Zone and B-
Zone wells are presented on Figures 3 and 4, respectively. March 2011 groundwater
elevation contour maps for the A-Zone and B-Zone wells are presented on Figures 5
and 6, respectively. Groundwater elevations, contours and gradients are consistent
with previous sampling events. The groundwater gradients for the 2010/2011 reporting
period are summarized here:
• The November 2010 data indicate the horizontal groundwater flow direction in the
A-Zone was toward the north-northeast with a gradient of 0.003 feet/foot(ft/ft). The
horizontal flow direction in the B-Zone was also toward the north-northeast with a
gradient of 0.003 ft/ft.
• The March 2011 data indicate the horizontal groundwater flow direction in the A-
Zone was toward the northeast with a gradient of 0.003 ft/ft. The horizontal flow
direction in the B-Zone was also toward the northeast with a gradient of 0.004 ft/ft.
final to- y,.-mafntfaca@y_AnnRpl_a-zs-2011.d- Page:3/7
