James.Eisert@ <br /> arcadis-us.com <br /> This letter presents responses to comments received from the California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) regarding the "Monitored Natural Attenuation Our ref: <br /> Implementation Plan, Union Pacific Railroad Company, Storrie, CA," prepared by RC000738.0001 <br /> ARCADIS and dated March 14, 2011 (the MNA IP). The RWQCB provided <br /> comments regarding the MNA IP to ARCADIS in an email dated April 4, 2011. <br /> Response to Comments <br /> ARCADIS has prepared responses to the RWQCB's comments (noted in italics) as <br /> presented in the follow text. <br /> RWQCB General Comment: The MNA Work Plan, as drafted, primarily considers <br /> as contingencies evidence of impacts to the Feather River. Under Porter Cologne, 1 <br /> also need to consider the impaired beneficial uses of groundwater at the subject site. <br /> Specifically, 1 need to further evaluate long term, dilute Benzene and Ethanol(EtOH) <br /> in groundwater-as predicted with half-lives and as measured.
