KLEINFELDER
4.5 Collection of Groundwater Samples
The wells will not be sampled for chemical analysis after development. Rather, wells MW-Ir
and MW-2r will be replacing wells MW-1 and MW-2 in the routine groundwater monitoring at
the site.
4.6 Report Preparation
Upon completion of field activities, a report will be prepared for client review. The report will
include:
• A description of field activities, observations, and protocols;
• Lithologic logs;
• Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and laboratory
work; and;
• An assessment of the results, with conclusions and recommendations.
All information gathered during the study by Kleinfelder is considered confidential and will be
released only upon written authorization from the client or as required by law. California law
requires a person to inform the State if a situation is encountered that can be considered an
immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment.
5.0 SCHEDULE
Kleinfelder could initiate drilling activities within approximately 5 to 10 working days of
receiving written authorization to proceed by the client, PHS/EHD and the CVRWQCB,
depending on subcontractor availability. Our report of the initial monitoring well installations
will be submitted for client review within approximately 20 working days following field
activities. The estimated completion time for all of the tasks outlined in this proposal through
submittal of the report to the client is approximately 4 to 7 weeks from approval by the client and
the two agencies noted above.
6.0 CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS
This workplan/proposal is based on the following assumptions:
> Atherton Kirk Development will provide all site access for the drilling, well installation,
subsequent monitoring and eventual well destruction.
> Adequate workspace and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to install the
monitoring wells and collect samples at the proposed locations.
