CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 97-801 <br /> CHEVRON PIPELINE COMPANY <br /> ALDEN PARK PROPERTY <br /> TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons contaminate the soil and exist as free product on top of the groundwater <br /> at the former Chevron site at Alden Park in Tracy. Prior to construction,plans and specifications <br /> for ground water monitoring and/or extraction wells shall be submitted to Board staff for review <br /> and approval. After construction,new wells are to be sampled and analyzed for the constituents <br /> below and added to the monitoring program. <br /> GROUND WATER MONITORING <br /> There are 22 ground water monitoring wells at the site as shown in Figure 1. All of the monitoring <br /> wells shall be monitored for water level measurements. Monitoring wells MW-1, MW-3 through <br /> MW-6,MW-9,MW-10,MW-12,MW-15,MW-16,and MW-18 through MW-21 shall be sampled <br /> for the constituents listed below. However, monitoring wells with free phase petroleum product <br /> or visible sheen shall be monitored for product thickness and depth to ground water only. The <br /> ground water monitoring program for any additional wells installed subsequently except for wells <br /> containing free phase petroleum product or visible sheen, shall include the following: <br /> EPA Preparation and Maximum Detection <br /> Constituents Analytical Methods Limit(ue/lY Sampling Frequency <br /> Benzene 5030/8020 0.3 Quarterly <br /> Toluene 5030/8020 0.3 Quarterly <br /> Ethylbenzene 5030/8020 0.3 Quarterly <br /> Xylene 5030/8020 0.6 Quarterly <br /> TPH as Gasoline 5030/8015M 50 Quarterly <br /> TPH as Diesel 3510/363013/8015M 50 Quarterly <br /> Polynuclear <br /> Aromatic 8310 0.01 to 0.7 Quarterly <br /> Hydrocarbons <br /> For nondetectable results. <br />
