The removal program was conducted on behalf of Chevron Pipe Line
Company (CPL)by Geomatrix Consultants Inc. The results indicate that separate-phase material
can be removed from several of the groundwater monitoring wells with a vacuum truck.
Removal of separate-phase material with a vacuum truck will continue as an interim remedial
measure. Additionally, CPL will evaluate the economics of different technologies that may be
utilized to remove separate-phase material on a long term basis.
