(Geomatrix), will be submitted to your office on September 25, 1996.
The report will describe the results of the December 1995 soil sampling and groundwater
monitoring conducted in April and May 1996. This report will discuss any potential threat the
residual hydrocarbons may pose to groundwater beneath the site, and will present
recommendations and a schedule for future site activities.
The Geomatrix Refined Risk Evaluation Work Plan will be submitted by September 30, 1996.
Methods to evaluate the potential human health risks that may be associated with the residual
petroleum hydrocarbons will be proposed. These methods have been previously reviewed with
the Department Toxic Substance Control (DTSC).
CPL is planning to implement a pilot separate phase removal program from five groundwater
monitoring wells in Alden Park during the week of September 16, 1996. This program will
evaluate the feasibility of removing the high viscosity oil from wells. A description and the results
of the pilot program will be provided to the RWQCB in November 1996.
CPL will submit the subject documents as described, in lieu of the RWQCB's previously
requested date of September 15, 1996.
:...
