(Geomatrix) on behalf of Chevron Pipe Line Company (CPL). The
work plan describes the installation of wells in the area of Alden Park. Well installation
procedures will be incorporated with the work described in the Geomatrix 31 January 1995
"Revised Work Plan for Additional Site Characterization, Alden Park, Tracy, California" and
the 5 July 1995 "Response to 21 April, 1995 RWQCB Letter, Alden Park, Tracy, California".
The data obtained from this work will be used to evaluate the extent of separate-phase liquid
beneath the former fuel oil reservoir. The wells will be included in future groundwater
monitoring events.
CPL is currently in the process of evaluating the effectiveness of the existing bioventing facility.
The bioventing facility was installed in 1988 and has since operated as a pilot study. Periodic
reports on the systems operation have been submitted to the City of Tracy's Environmental
Control Inspector. The system has be shut down pending a final review of the operation and
maintenance documentation and evaluation of the results of the site characterization study.
Upon approval of this work plan by the RWQCB, CPL will initiate field procedures.
