This well and other
nearby existing wells should remain for monitoring groundwater conditions upgradient of the area
containing free phase floating product.
If the wells are destroyed as proposed, this would leave three upgradient wells, and five cross/down-
gradient wells near the eight wells containing free phase floating product. At this time, the locations and
number of wells remaining, appears to be adequate for monitoring.
We concur with the plan to destroy the wells MW-1, 2, 13, and 17 that are either dry, up/cross-gradient
or several hundred feet downgradient beyond existing monitoring wells.
By 15 December 2005, please submit your plan, procedures, and schedule for destroying the Alden Park
monitoring wells.
If you have any questions or comments please call Dean Hubbard at(559) 445-5179.
a 4L ld&ffs
SHELTON R.
