The water is currently stored on site in seven (7) metal drums
and a small 600 gallon portable poly tank.
The water was generated during the installation of four(4)monitoring wells at Alden
Park(MWs#18-21),as well as the purging of currently existing monitoring wells in the
Alden Park neighborhood. Drums# 1-6 contain decon water used to clean drilling
equipment used during well installation. The poly tank and one drum contain water
generated during well purging(MWs#1-18).
The waste water was sampled and analyzed for BTEX and TPH. Results of water
analysis for BTEX by EPA Method 8020 and 5030 indicated none detected in all
samples. Results of water analysis by EPA Method 3510 and GC/FID for total
hydrocarbons TPH crude oil was none detected for all samples.
Thank you for your assistance in contacting the Regional Water Quality Control Board
for concurrence with this request. Please advise in writing if this disposal method is
acceptable.
Sincerely,
Connie Peak
Site Remediation Technician
enclosures
