4.0 Scope of Work <br /> To achieve the project objective,the following scope of work will be conducted: <br /> 1. Permitting and Mobilization <br /> 2. Preparation of Workplan and Health and Safety Plan <br /> 3. Field Investigation <br /> 4. Laboratory Analyses <br /> 5. Investigation-Derived Waste Disposal <br /> 6. Site Investigation Report Preparation <br /> 4.1 Permitting and Mobilization <br /> A drilling permit will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department. A standard Caltrans encroachment permit will be obtained from the appropriate <br /> office prior to any work conducted at the site. All work will be conducted within Caltrans <br /> right-of-way. Underground Service Alert(USA)will be notified of the subsurface investigation <br /> at least 48 hours prior to initiation of the investigation. <br /> Martha Adams and Skye Hatten of IT and Michael Robinson of Caltrans attended a pre-work site <br /> visit on February 19, 2002. Items discussed and reviewed during the meeting included the scope <br /> of work, the site visit checklist, and the project schedule. A field reconnaissance of the project <br /> area was also conducted and proposed boring locations were marked for USA identification. <br /> 4.2 Preparation of Workplan and Health and Safety Plan <br /> This Workplan was prepared to present the scope of work and the procedures to be used in the <br /> field. As discussed in following sections, this Workplan also provides information regarding <br /> laboratory analyses, investigation-derived waste, and report preparation. <br /> A site-specific health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120. <br /> The health and safety plan includes safety procedures for work to be performed at the site, <br /> chemical hazard information, site safety officers, and preferred medical emergency locations. <br /> SAC/DRN.1rancfpI 1Projmts18P8347601wkp1n&hsplwp&hsp HS4=120 HSA xpaloc 4_1 <br /> 4/19/02 <br />
