PROGRESS/CONFIRTMATION SOIL SAMPLING
Progress/confirmation soil samples will be collected from the"core"area of petroleum hydrocarbon
impacts at the site utilizing direct push technology. AGE proposes to advance soil probe borings in
the "core" petroleum hydrocarbon impacted area at the site to depths of approximately 50 feet bsg,
using a Geoprobe 5400 soil probing unit. Discrete soil samples will be collected at 5-foot intervals
beginning at a depth of 10 feet bsg, utilizing a Geoprobe soil sampling assembly loaded with pre-
cleaned 1 125-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves. Soil samples will be preserved by covering both ends of
the second brass sleeve with Teflon sheets, plastic end caps and sealed with tape. Each sample sleeve
will be labeled with the soil probe boring location, depth, time. date and sampler's initials. Soil
samples will be transported in a chilled container under chain-of-custody procedure to a DHS-
certified laboratory for analysis.
,-Idvareced(;eo nvironmentstl,Inc.
