Weber Avenue, Third floor
Stockton, California 95202
Subject: Work Plan Addendum - Site Assessment and Feasibility.Analysis
Former MEL BOKIDES PETROLEUM - LINDEN
8203 East Highway 26, Stockton, California
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
At the request ofMr.Nick Bokides of Mel Bokides Petroleum(MBP),Advanced GeoEnvironmental,
Inc. (AGE) has prepared the following addendum to the site assessment and soil vapor extraction
feasibility work plan, dated 12 August 2002, for 8203 East Highway 26, Stockton, California; the
addendum addresses work-plan concerns expressed by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD) in a letter dated 05 September 2002.
The original work plan detailed the design of a soil vapor extraction (SVE) feasibility pilot test and
additional site assessment for the petroleum hydrocarbon-impact to soil at the site. However, as part
of MBP's site redevelopment into an active card-lock gasoline station, a new underground storage
tank(UST)was to be installed in the area of the former USTs location, therefore, the proposed vapor
extraction well locations within the new UST area need to be relocated outside of the new UST
location. In addition, as stated in the subsequent AGE-prepared Replacement of Well MW-1, dated
15 August 2002,ground water monitoring well MW-1 will be relocated, from inside the former UST
excavation to a location down-gradient of the former UST excavation.
The following procedures will be amended-
• The shallow and deep SVE wells located within the proposed UST area in the original work
plan will be relocated to an area directly east of the new UST area. In addition, the proposed
shallow and deep SVE wells located north of well MW-2, as well as existing well MW-1,will
be relocated east of the proposed UST area (Figure 2). The new location for well MW-1
precludes the necessity of the easternmost soil boring proposed in the original work plan.
837 Shaw Road,Stockton, California 95215
Telephone(209) 467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118
