3.0 Site Investigation Results
3.1 Aerially Deposited Lead Investigation
Lead analyses were conducted on 165 soil samples. A summary of lead results compared to 10-
times STLC and TTLC values are presented below. Results are presented on Table 1.
10 Times No.Samples Concentration
STLC Exceeding TTLC No.Samples Range
Heavy Metal (mg/kg) 10 Times STLC (mglkg) Exceeding TTLC (mg/kg)
Lead 50 35 1,000 0 Less than 1.0 to 748
Selected soil samples were further analyzed for soluble lead concentrations by the WET and DI
WET. A summary of soluble heavy metal results compared to STLC is presented below.
No.Samples WET Concentration DI WET Concentration
STLC Exceeding Range Range
Heavy Metal (mg/1) STLC (mgll) (mgll)
Lead 5.0 12 of 35 Less than 0.050 to 10.3 0.109 to 0.712
In the 16 soil samples tested, pH ranged from 5.4 to 8.4 (Table 1).
3.2 UST Investigation
3.2.1 Soil Sample Results
The soil samples analyzed were not reported to contain TPHg or BTEX at concentrations
exceeding the analytical method reporting limits (Table 2). One soil sample was reported to
contain 960 mg/kg TPHd. A second soil sample was reported to contain 53.7 mg/kg TPHmo.
Organic lead was reported in a third soil sample at a concentration of 14 mg/kg (Table 2).
3.2.2 Groundwater Grab Sample Results
The groundwater grab samples were not reported to contain TPHd, TPHmo, or organic lead at
concentrations in excess of the analytical method reporting limits (Table 3). One groundwater
grab sample was reported by the laboratory to contain 0.083 mg/l TPHg, 0.00086 mg/l benzene,
0.00099 mg/1 toluene, 0.00081 mg/1 ethylbenzene, and 0.0018 mg/l xylenes (Table 3).
SncDP-N:IrnncjpllProjecnl8?18?I_'641Repornll?0 Austin repon.doc 3-1
5121101
