1■ KLEINFELDER
SCOPE OF WORK
On September 8 and September 9, 1997, soil and Hydropunch II® water samples were obtained
from two soil borings (Borings 2-2A and 2-2B) advanced in the vicinity of the former UST. The
borings were advanced in the vicinity of the December 1996 underground storage tank (UST)
boring (Boring 2-2) which yielded detections.
The samples were transferred to the appropriate laboratory-supplied containers which were then
labeled and placed in an iced cooler. The sample was then transported under chain of custody
protocol to Sequoia Analytical Laboratory of Sacramento, California for analysis. Sequoia is
certified by the California State Department of Toxic Substances Control for the requested
analyses. Four of the six soil samples and both water samples were analyzed for the following:
• BTEX by EPA Method 8020
• TPH-G by EPA Method 8015M
• Oxygenates (except methanol, because it is used in the lab method) by EPA Method 8260
• Methanol by EPA Method 3810/8015M
The samples were analyzed on a 3-day rush analytical turnaround.
20-3978.01.W35/2017 R491 Page No.3 of 7
Copyright 1997.
