As you are aware, Mr. Steve
Rosenbaum of the CVRWQCB and I have discussed all site specific projects, has copies of all reports
currently available and the CVRWQCB has at this time no working interest in the remedial actions or
closures planned at the facilities numerous sites with the exception of the ponds and landfills as of June
3, 1997 (telephone discussion w/Steve). Therefore, please review and discuss the SB 1248 process
with your client, develop remedial action objectives (ie-PRG's at residential levels are most stringent,
clear and straight forward goals for soil sites), and submit this tentative agreement to me for review.
PHS/EHD will then in accordance with SB 1248, review the remediation goals and if appropriate will
notify DTSC and the CVRWCQB ten days in advance of entering into the remedial action agreement.
When the project is completed, PHS/EHD may provide the RP with written documentation which
certifies that the cleanup goals in the written agreement were completed.
Thanks,
\f^ Post-it°Fax Note 7671 oeS%_y pages
\ ToI_46 C From n5aj
Co./Dept.
