SB 1248 <br /> requires local agencies to provide the State of California Environmental Protection Agency <br /> Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and the appropriate State of California <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) with written notification at least 10 working <br /> days prior to entering into a remedial action agreement with a responsible party. This letter will <br /> serve as the formal written request to enter into said agreement as outlined below. <br /> In your letter dated July 25, 1997, your department requested the following: <br /> 1) The closure of the ponds at the above referenced site and any further investigation required <br /> pursuant to their closure is the responsibility of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board(CVRWQCB).
