In accordance with applicable <br /> provisions of law, the Department has scheduled the site for <br /> cleanup action under the Hazardous Substance Cleanup Bond Act <br /> of 1984, H&SC Section 25300 et seq. <br /> The Department has made a determination that you are a <br /> responsible party with respect to hazardous waste at the site. <br /> This determination is based on information that you are or were <br /> an owner/operator, producer, Storer, disposer, treater, or <br /> transporter of hazardous waste at the site. Responsible <br /> parties may challenge this determination, but only after the <br /> Department has formally determined the degree of financial <br /> responsibility of all responsible parties in a final remedial <br /> action plan issued pursuant to H&SC Section 25356. 1. <br /> Enclosed with this letter is a Remedial Action Order for the <br /> Acme-Stockton Galvanizing site issued pursuant to H&SC Section <br /> 25355. 5. This Order and a proposed Stipulation to the Order <br /> were previously sent to you on November 18, 1987 . You may <br /> choose to stipulate to this Order by December 17, 1987. <br /> This Order sets forth a compliance schedule which begins on the <br /> effective date of the Order. The first three submittals are due <br /> as follows: <br /> (1) within 10 days, submit information regarding the <br /> project coordinator and the project registered engineer <br /> or geologist; <br /> (2) within 30 days (a) submit the RI/FS workplan and (b) <br /> submit the initial monthly report. <br />
