With the provision that the information provided to this agency was accurate and
representative of existing conditions, it is our position that no further action is required at this time
of that UST.
In April 1991, illegal disposal of waste oil was documented at this site by San Joaquin County
Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) staff. Furthermore, it was
suspected that a dry well had been installed on the property to receive storm water in the area of
the documented illegal disposal of waste oil. Exploration activities to find any dry wells existing at
the site were conducted in August 2000, but none were found. A soil probe investigation was
also conducted in August 2000. A groundwater sample was not obtained. A laboratory did not
analyze the soil samples that were collected. PHSIEHD staff did not observe any soil
contamination during the soil probe investigation. PHSIEHD has no further regulatory
requirements for this area at this time.
Please be advised that this letter does not relieve you of any liability under the California Health
and Safety Code or Water Code for past, present, or future operations at the site. Nor does it
relieve you of the responsibility to clean up existing, additional or previously unidentified
conditions at the site which cause or threaten to cause pollution or nuisance or otherwise pose a
threat to water quality or public health.
Additionally, be advised that changes in the present or proposed use of the site may require
further site characterization and mitigation activity. It is the property owner's responsibility to
notify this agency of any changes in report content, future contamination findings or site usage.
If you have any questions contact me at (209)468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS
Director of Environmental Health
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising RENS
LOP/Unit IV
c: AGE—Paul Dotson
Riggs &Asso.—Bob Riggs
Stockton Tree Surgery— Ed Hughes
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
