INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Bob Riggs, representing the subject property owners, Mr. and Mrs. Emet and <br /> Maria Tapia, and the potential purchaser of the property,Mr. Ed Hughes of Stockton Tree Service, <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Preliminary Phase II Site Assessment <br /> Work Plan for the property at 3507 Stevenson Avenue, Stockton, California(the site). The location <br /> of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> This work plan is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) requirements for the procurement of a boring permit. <br /> The purpose of this site assessment is to evaluate subsurface conditions in the area of the former <br /> underground storage tank(UST)and to investigate possible presence of shallow disposal well on <br /> the property. This work plan details procedures to be used to advance soil probe borings and collect <br /> and analyze soil and/or groundwater samples. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 3507 Stevenson Avenue, approximately 500 feet east of the intersection of <br /> Stevenson Avenue and Newton Road,Stockton,San Joaquin County,California(Figure 1).The site <br /> is within the southwest quarter of Section 52,Township 2 North, Range 7 East,Mount Diablo Base <br /> and Meridian (Stockton West Quadrangle, 7.5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1987). <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The property is currently utilized as Tapia's Roofing. The site is occupied by a one-story shop , an <br /> abandoned domestic well, a new domestic well and,possibly by and abandoned dry well. The site <br /> is bordered on the south by commercial property, and by residential property north, west and east. <br /> The site formerly was operated as an auto repair facility with one fuel UST and fuel dispenser. The <br /> former UST consisted of one 1,000-gallon gasoline tank. <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> AGE reviewed available reports for previous investigations conducted at the site. A brief summary <br /> of previous investigation findings is presented below. <br /> On 13 May 1993,a 1,000-gallon gasoline UST was removed from the site.According to hand-drawn <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
